So I doubt it would be cheaper to have it shortened unless the gunsmith is a friend and he is cutting you some great deals. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose of shortening the barrel? What does it accomplish? Why would you even want to to this? I also agree with the post where he said sell yours, and buy a paratrooper one. Or maybe someone will want to trade you? Cutting the barrel down, as long as it remains over 16" and the OAL remains over 30" does not create an assault weapon or SBR.

No gunsmiths needed you can do it yourself. I will post some finished pictures when I can find them, restained the rifle as well. Who told you that? Was that your wildassguess? Any shorter and you are in trouble even if for just a few min while you are welding the extension on. Just do our kit and enjoy the new rifle.

It has worked all the times I have done it. I had one customer who had to drill a Yugo open one more drill size, but the fix was minor and also accomplished without a gunsmith.

Only if you add the AW features. I just put mine in the original configuration, this way I dont need to worry about the gun laws etc. Pez, what do you think the 59 in these rifles' designation means? In this particular case, it's the "66" which is the important number.
